Elle Magazine’s 25th anniversary issue

Elle Magazine will be celebrating it’s 25th anniversary with four different covers featuring four celebrities for the October 2010 edition. The four featured cover ladies are actresses Gabourey Sidibe, Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried and reality star/fashion designer Lauren Conrad.

Now you know I’m always thrilled when black models and actresses grace the covers of mainstream fashion magazines. But what’s with Gabby’s cover photo? Couldn’t Elle have done a better job with that wig or whatever that is on her head?

And I know she’s extremely overweight but what’s with the close up cover shot? Why doesn’t she get a full length shot for the cover like the other ladies? Who was the fashion director for Gabby’s photo shoot? I hate to nitpick over this but if Ebony Magazine could feature Gabby in a nice cover shot why couldn’t a fashion magazine like Elle do the same?
