That’s the question some folks are asking after the latest music artists were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame recently. According to the RRHOF website:
Leaders in the music industry joined together in 1983 to establish the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. One of the Foundation’s many functions is to recognize the contributions of those who have had a significant impact on the evolution, development and perpetuation of rock and roll by inducting them into the Hall of Fame.
This year’s inductees included Run DMC, Metallica, Little Anthony & the Imperials, Jeff Beck, Bobby Womack, Wanda Johnson, Bill Black, DJ Fontana and Spooner Oldham. Again the outrage towards rap artists being included showed up, this time towards Run-DMC.
Here’s a list of all the inductees in the RRHOF:
Should rap and hip hop artists start their own Hall of Fame or should they be included in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?
