I can’t believe it’s been seven years since the United States was attacked by terrorists at the Pentagon, New York City and Shanksville, PA.
I remember September 11, 2001 very well. I blogged about it back in 2006. You can check it out here.
Today’s Washington Post has a separate section dedicated to the Pentagon Memorial, the victims and surviving family members. The Pentagon Memorial Park has 184 lighted benches dedicated to the 184 victims.
The Pentagon was where 184 men, women and children were killed either in the Pentagon or on American Airlines Flight 77. The front page of Section G has a timeline that goes by the year of birth of those killed. The birth years range from 1930 through 1998. The youngest killed on Flight 77 was Dana Falkenberg. She along with her sister Zoe and her parents were killed. Eleven year old Asia Cotton, eleven year old Bernard C. Brown II and eleven year old Rodney Dickens were also killed on Flight 77. They were elementary school students on their way to California. You can check out the page dedicated to the victims here.
