So you wanna know about me? Well I’m a sudoku addicted, tv on dvd loving, current event reading black female who has a few things to say. I was born in Atlanta but have spent most of my life in the suburbs of Maryland, just outside Washington, D.C.
I got into the blogging life back in 2004. I got my blogging inspiration from a couple of black female bloggers who are on my blogroll. At that time I was blogging at Bravejournal (Bravenet). After a while I just stopped blogging. But wouldn’t you know it, I got the itch to start blogging again in 2006. So I started a new blog at Blogger.com. Unfortunately I couldn’t import my bravejournal posts to Blogger.com so I deleted my bravejournal blog. After 2 years at Blogger I decided to move my blog here to WordPress in July 2008.
My old home was:
http://talking-stuff.blogspot.com
My new home is now:
http://talkinstuff.wordpress.com
My blog at Blogger is still in existence but it’s behind closed doors now.
One problem I ran into when I created my new WordPress blog was my username Classicrose was already taken. So I had to create a new name, Ladyrayne. I also had to take the letter “g” out of Talking Stuff since the url talkingstuff was already taken.
My interests include hanging out on the internet, web design, watching movies and tv shows on dvds, listening to music, reading, sudoku and word find puzzles and shopping at Borders, Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com and QVC (when I have the funds). I enjoy watching Turner Classic Movies, Lifetime Movie Network (the women in distress movie channel), Prison Break (The Wentworth Miller Show), CSI, Cold Case, 24 (waiting for its return), Grey’s Anatomy, Numb3rs, Nip/Tuck, Law & Order and The Young & The Restless. I love some of the old shows such as I Love Lucy, The Cosby Show, All in the Family, Sanford & Son and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
My tastes in music range from Luther Vandross, Led Zeppelin, U2, The Doobie Brothers, Alicia Keys, Jimi Hendrix, Seal, Level 42, The Eurythmics, The Police, Corinne Bailey Rae and Loose Ends to India. Arie, Swing Out Sister, Mariah Carey, Sade, Prince, Earth, Wind & Fire, Chicago, Tears for Fears, Michael McDonald, Annie Lennox and Living Colour.
Speaking of music check out the song Be Ever Wonderful by one of the best bands of all time, Earth, Wind & Fire. This fantastic song is from the cd All ‘N All.
Hi Lady Rayne,
I came across your blog while building back links to my internet business
I couldn’t agree with you more though about PETA. They must be worried about losing their funding or something. LOL
Happy Easter to you and yours.
Wishing you the best of the best and nothing but success
Peace, Love & Gods Blessings.
Thanks for the wonderful music.
Herbert
LadyRayne,
I was reading about the profile of the day (Rotus) and ran across you link. Very interesting and I want you to know I’m new at this blog stuff and I have never read one or done it. I’m not really sure what it is. I try to stay away from things that take me more that a few minutes to read or surf on the net. I’m just getting into email. I’m 58 yrs. old and I guess you can see why I’m so antiquated. Oh! yeah the song is an old one release on one of their albums years ago. I’m not sure which however I’m still an EWF fan. My home was broken into and my entire album collection was taken (not insurance) but I remember that song, as I used to listen with the head phones to their albums at night putting me to sleep. Thanks fjor bringng it back to my remembrance. Wink

Why isn’t Rap & Hip-Hop on your poll?
